NTSHONDWE CONFERENCE CENTRE - Introduction
 • Situated in Ithala Game Reserve in the rugged, mountainous thornveld of northern KwaZulu-Natal. Ithala’s multitude of habitats host a spectacular array of wildlife species.
 • It’s scenic beauty aside, Ithala's most characteristic feature is perhaps it’s astonishing geological diversity. Some of the oldest rock formations in the world are found here, dating back 3 000 million years.
CONFERENCE FACILITIES - 10 GOOD REASONS TO BOOK WITH US
Here in the heart of Africa is a 21st century conference facility superbly incorporated within an authentic African game reserve.
1. Under a magnificent thatched building, you’ll enjoy modern comforts in an environment that is so beautiful and peaceful, that business becomes a pleasure.
2. The centre is situated at the foot of the Ngotshe plateau. It’s a beautiful thatched complex consisting of a foyer, a large veranda, the main auditorium and two smaller conference halls or breakaway rooms.
3. The versatility of the air-conditioned main auditorium speaks for itself: it offers a cinema style seating arrangement for up to 120 people, a lecture/classroom style for 100 people, or a single U-shape for 45 people.
4. The two breakaway rooms are also air-conditioned and each offers seating arrangement for 35 people, lecture/classroom style for 20 people, or single U-shape for 20 people.
5. Equipment in the main auditorium is state-of-the-art, with a fully equipped projection room containing an integrated sound system, lapel mike, digital projector and big screen, DVD, video and slide projector all controlled through an LCD panel.
6. In addition, the complex is equipped with white boards both fixed and movable, flip charts and overhead projectors.
7. An efficient photocopy service and access to the internet is also provided.
8. Apart from having conference equipment similar to that of the main auditorium, the two breakaway rooms enjoy the advantage of also having a Flexirail system.
9. The resident Conference Co-ordinator will assist prospective conference organisers with the planning of all conferences.
10. The Centre caters for the physically disabled.

• Twenty-eight charming chalets cater for up to fifty-six delegates.
• Each chalet has two single beds, a bathroom en-suite and a quiet study nook.

ACTIVITIES AND AMENITIES
 As for relaxation during a busy conference programme, Ithala offers a large variety of activities:
• Open-vehicle game drives, guided walks where one may encounter elephant, white and black rhino, leopard, giraffe, kudu, tsessebe, waterbuck and eland, to mention but a few.
• There is also a self-guided trail for visitors who would like to explore the hills in the vicinity of the camp.
• Visitors may opt for barbeques in the bush plus there is a self-drive trail for the more adventurous.
• At Ithala, so much is possible; and what could be finer than starting the day with a champagne breakfast and ending it with a spit braai in the boma?
• Other amenities include a swimming pool built around a giant rock and an imaginatively stocked curio shop, which also carries a range of basic provisions.
GETTING THERE
• There is a 1.2 km tarred airstrip to suit most light commercial aircraft, plus a tarred access road (capable of carrying 48-seater coaches) leading right into the resort.
• The Ntshondwe Conference Centre is situated outside Louwsburg in Northern KwaZulu-Natal.
• It is an easy 4½ to 5 hour drive from Johannesburg and 5 hours from Durban.
• The roads to Ithala are tarred all the way.
